Céline is a multimedia artist whose work speaks for itself– literally. Her paintings are always paired with captions and almost all of her sculptural pieces incorporate mouths. While her mediums may vary, the theme of her is consistent; her relationship with the human condition. Drawing inspiration from her intimate encounters, conversations, and passing thoughts, she publicly showcases vulnerability by making the experience of both pleasure and suffering easily accessible and relatable. Her pieces aim to show that while we as people are unique and complex, we are all connected.
She holds a degree in cinema and photography from Ithaca College with a concentration in sculpture and experimental video. She has been publicly showing her work since 2006, and has been a part of many group and solo exhibitions in both Los Angeles and New York.
Her stream-of-consciousness approach to her art (and her life) allows her to be unlimited and unafraid to say what she wants, because really, as a nice Jewish girl from Long Island, she just can’t help herself.
